What we store

The short version

This site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing that stores anything is AI Shelf Check: it keeps the store address you scanned and the results for one hour so a repeat scan is fast, and it keeps your IP address for one hour to enforce the scan limit. Contact links go to optivis.dev, which has its own privacy terms.

What AI Shelf Check stores, and for how long

• The scanned address and its results. Held in server memory for 1 hour, keyed by the store's domain, then discarded. Anyone who scans the same store within that hour sees the same saved result. Results describe public web pages, not people.
• Rate-limit records. Your IP address and the times of your scans, held in server memory for one hour to allow 5 new scans per hour, then discarded.
• Operational logs. For each scan we log the scanned domain, how long it took, the score and whether it came from the cache. We do not write your IP address into these log lines. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (which include IP addresses) under its own retention policy.

What is not collected

• No account, email address or payment details.
• No advertising or analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels.
• We do not sell any information.

The page loads the Neue Haas Grotesk typeface from Adobe Fonts, which receives your IP address and the page address when your browser requests the font file, as with any web font service.

The stores we scan

The scanner reads only public pages, at most 4 pages and 5 small files per scan. It follows each store's robots.txt for its own requests and identifies itself clearly. A store owner who does not want to be scanned can disallow OptiVis-Labs-Shelf-Check in robots.txt.
